Round Chinese Heavily Carved Table

This simply stunning carved Chinese Round Table is of the highest quality as can be seen from the very deep and highly detailed carving. The substantial tripod base, has intricate carving on the pillar, comprising of animals and flora, flowing down to a creature’s head on the knee of each leg, that is itself finished off with a carved claw.

The apron around the top is finely fretted as well as carved with a wide range of flora subject matter. The interestingly veined marble top insert finishes the piece off, and the marble adds a level of usability to the table.

The top comes off the base and is secured by two exquisite wooden catches.
