19thC Rosewood Coffee Table
Description
This 19thC Rosewood Coffee Table is of a good useable size, with plenty of space for drinks and of course those large glossy Coffee Table Books! Standing on brass cup castors, with downswept feet, and a crisply turned centre stretcher rail. The two turned columns at each end support the top, which has a frieze complete with decorative moulding and a finial at each corner.
The table is of a good weight, with the base being made of solid Rosewood, which complements the finely figured veneered top. The Rosewood has mellowed to a lovely warm hue.
This table has been adapted at some time in its life, reduced in height to act as a Coffee Table, and all the more useful for it. Wearing its age and wear with pride, this Coffee Table would work well in either a contemporary or modern décor.
