French Marquetry Bombe Commode Chest Of Drawers

This French Marquetry Bombe Commode Chest Of Drawers has not only a gorgeous shape to it, but has some fine detailing to it too. The curvature of the piece is accentuated by the rather clever design of the veneer layout, with all of it running diagonally for added impact.

The Tulipwood veneer is arranged with marquetry flowered panels for added decoration. The two free running, oak lined drawers are of a good size, offering storage space. With the ormolu mounts adding further interest, and the marble top adding practicality and further interest.

Presented in fully restored condition, this piece would make a statement wherever placed in the home.
